Composition:
Each kg contains:
Oxytetracycline (Base) 500g
Excipient q.s. 1,000g
Indications:
Prevention and treatment of primary and secondary bacterial
infections sensitive to oxytetracycline such as CRD and CRD
complex, synovitis, upper respiratory infections, gastrointestinal
infections, fowl cholera, coryza and bacterial infections due to
stress in poultry. Vetoxy 20% is used in prevention and treatment
of gastrointestinal infections due to salmonella and E.coli in calf
and lamb.
Dosage & Administration:
Poultry:
> Prevention: 30 g per 100 litres of drinking water.
> Treatment: 60 to 125 g per 100 litres of drinking water.
> Other animals: 10 to 55 mg oxytetracycline per kg of body weight
administered in drinking water.
Comments:
Prepared solution should be used within 24 hours.
Drug Interaction:
Vetoxy 20% should not be used with penicillines, bacitracin,
streptomycin, enrofloxacin, polymixine B and sodium bicarbonate.
Also complexes with cations such as Fe3+, Mg2+ and Ca2+.
Withdrawal time:
Do not use within 5 to 7 days prior to slaughtering.
Eggs should be consumed a week after last treatment.
Storage: Store in cool, dry and dark place.

Shelf-Life: 24 months.
